Ubuntu 12.04 Precise Pangolin is out

As provided by the scheduling of Canonical publishes the final version of Ubuntu 4.12 Precise Pangolin is now available for download.

It was on October 5, Mark Shuttleworth (founder of Canonical) announced on his blog that Ubuntu 4.12 would be called Precise Pangolin. According to Mark Shuttleworth's, the "inspiration" for this name was due to the fact that he helped a few hours pangolin and this has demonstrated some resistance and precision.

After six months, as defined by Canonical, finally reached the final version of Ubuntu 4.12 Precise Pangolin.

Microsoft will launch Windows 8 32 tablets 'low cost'

Microsoft will launch by the end of the year 32 models of tablets with Windows 8. The most interesting of these future gadgets will be the price. The tablets will have a price of around  $300 (230€).


 

The target will be the iPhone and Android tablets that are competitive to the point that they are already in the corporate market the most valuable segment until now dominated by Microsoft. The company is supported by manufacturers such as Asus, Acer, HP, Dell, Toshiba or Lenovo. These companies will leave the 32 tablets to market with Windows 8.

Windows 8 tablet specifications are already known

Intel has made known some of the characteristics of future tablets with Windows 8, based on x86 architecture.



Inside these tablets, will be Atom processors Z2760, belonging to the new family "Clover Trail." Models will be dual core with Hyper Threading, which can greatly increase the clock speed beyond the normal for short periods of time.

The tablet as two models: 10 and 11 inches, the last one will also have physical keyboards. In communications, the Intel talks about 3G/4G connectivity, Wi-Fi Direct (which lets you create high-speed connections directly between two devices, a bit similar to what happens with Bluetooth) and NFC.

These tablets will range over nine hours, less than nine millimeters thick and less than 700 grams.

More than 500 000 Mac infected by vulnerability in Java

Several security companies are warning of a scenario of more than half a million Macintosh computers infected with a virus that targets Apple's security structure.

The Flashback trojan was created to break down Mac OS X defense. This is a variation of a virus usually active in Windows PC's.
It is estimated that over 600,000 Mac machines can be infected with Flashback, which is designed to allow hackers to steal potentially valuable information like passwords and bank account numbers.

Google presents draft of glasses that allow you to view augmented reality

The project was revealed at February, but now Google has released a video which shows a daily routine of a user of the new augmented reality glasses. The project is being developed by Google division [X]. It is unclear when the glasses could reach the market.

Angry birds will debut in the animated series

The Rovio does not want to get the games for PCs and smartphones, and is already planning new developments for the characters of Angry Birds.

Google Chrome v.18.0
