More than 500 000 Mac infected by vulnerability in Java

Several security companies are warning of a scenario of more than half a million Macintosh computers infected with a virus that targets Apple's security structure.

The Flashback trojan was created to break down Mac OS X defense. This is a variation of a virus usually active in Windows PC's.
It is estimated that over 600,000 Mac machines can be infected with Flashback, which is designed to allow hackers to steal potentially valuable information like passwords and bank account numbers.

But Apple already released an update for Java. Look in your Mac OS X in Software Update, to prevent be infected.
